About

David Echeverria is a visionary strategist, organizer, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of politics, community organizing, and digital entertainment. Born on the Gulf Coast of Florida to a family of formerly undocumented migrant farm workers, David's Mexican-American heritage deeply informs his commitment to equity, grassroots power, and community resilience.

David is the Founder of CivXP, a civic innovation hub that blends organizing, digital storytelling, and civic education to mobilize young people. He is also CEO and a founding partner of Villeage Esports & Entertainment, a platform that amplifies everyday gamers and builds pathways for community-driven competition and creative media. Through both ventures, he challenges the status quo by building infrastructure and platforms that empower the next generation to level up their impact.

David currently serves on the leadership team of KAIROS: Democracy Project, where he helps shape national strategy at the intersection of civic engagement, digital culture, and movement-building. He also consults with Atlas Strategy Group (Bronx, NY), designing culturally competent campaigns across the country that center equity, and innovation.

David's organizing roots trace back to Louisville, KY, where he began facilitating "Know Your Rights" trainings, organizing logistics for marches of thousands, and coordinating mutual aid for directly impacted individuals. His work spans immigration justice, education reform, and racial and economic equity—evolving into national campaigns that merge culture, media, and movement-building.

A proud graduate of the University of Louisville, David earned a B.A. in Political Organization with minors in Socio-Cultural Anthropology, Political Science, and Social Change. In 2021, he made history as the university’s first Latino Homecoming King. In 2023, he was recognized as a KY Inno 5 Under 25 Honoree for his leadership and innovation in the Commonwealth. In 2025, David participated in a global practicum abroad with Gen.G Esports in South Korea, where he explored how gaming and international entertainment can advance civic engagement. That same year, he was named an inaugural fellow of the Adam Clayton Powell Political Institute.

David continues to build bridges between communities, movements, and digital culture—strategically and intentionally channeling collective energy into action, and reimagining what’s possible for the next generation.
